Pomerado Christian Preschool exists to provide a quality,
developmental, age-appropriate, hands-on learning curriculum in an
optimum, safe, nurturing, Christ-centered environment where children
have the opportunity to develop a love for Jesus Christ and others and
to grow and develop socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually,
and spiritually. |
|
We believe the best preschool experience comes from providing
opportunities for learning and growth through developmental,
age-appropriate exploration, discovery, and hands-on experiences within
a caring, relaxed, safe, Christ-centered setting.
We believe that positive expressions and attitudes should be used in
guiding the behavior of each child to help him or her become a
self-directed individual. We understand that each child is unique and
special and has his or her own style of learning.
We integrate Biblical principles and practices into every aspect of the
day and use the Bible as our guidebook for everyday living and learning.
Our curriculum has been planned and developed to provide a sound
Biblical basis for stimulating the spiritual, physical, social,
emotional, cognitive, and creative developmental areas of the preschool
child.
We strongly believe in the importance of the family and home and view
ourselves as an extension of the educational process of the home. As
"team partners" working together, we feel we can help each child
develop to his or her full potential on behalf of the parents, not in
place of them. |

The preschool is a ministry of Pomerado Christian Church. We feature
simple, meaningful Christian nurture as a part of a well-rounded
curriculum. Our Bible-based curriculum is interwoven with our
"thematic" curriculum and provides experiences through prayer, the
monthly Christian nurture thought, Christian music, songs, finger
plays, dramatic play, Bible stories, Bible verses, life application
stories, discussion of Christian values and principles that are
appropriate for young children. Christian holidays are celebrated in
ways appropriate for young children. |
