Ministry Update, December 26, 2006

Dear Ministry Partners,

What was on in Thanksgiving Day and the Shelter's 6th anniversary? celebrated on Nov 26, 2006

Thanksgiving / the 6th shelter’s anniversary was a whole day event, full of colors and was quiet a success. The kids start the day with torch lighting, the torch being the symbol of Christ Jesus, Who is the light of the world and Who has lighted up our dark lives (John 8:12). The event was as well highlighted with our kids’ dance and group verse choir presentations from the book of Matthew and Psalms... everybody was blessed.......

For the newcomers' sake, the mission statement and how we are fulfilling it was fully discussed again and as I was explaining , the five posters (we are proud of the volunteers who offer their time and talents) with various meaningful pictures on it representing our five areas of ministries were step by step presented to the church. which was well understood and received. We further give testimony how GOD has been faithfully blessed us as He has promised.

Around 140 attended the worship meeting which includes adults, youths and children (products from our evangelical outreaches), a pastor & family, a public school teacher also came and bless our fellowship. The entire service was so awesome as the children were behaving and the audience are responding and paying attention to the message.

As we were having lunch, testimonies from different groups were given - on their gratefulness of the saving grace they received from Christ; that they are feeling peace and joy as a new believers, etc.... indeed it has illuminated the entire fellowship as everyone was so blessed with the testimonies.

We also enjoy the wholesome afternoon which was utilized to sports and games participated by women, young and adult alike and the children. May this fellowship manifests the love of GOD for everyone...

RH Outreaches updates:

  • Valaga community .......................... 5 households
  • Baybayon community ................... .4 households
  • Laca community ............................. 3 households
  • Children ministry (3areas)................ Saturdays
  • In-house service ............................. Thursdays; Sundays

The new believing women in Laca community are ready for water baptism, which will take place soon. They’ve grown to another level of growth. They come and volunteer in helping the various errands such as cleaning, landscaping, cooking, etc...

As the light of our converts begins to shine, more invitation were extended to us to hold Bible studies in their homes.

December 23rd and 24th will be the first monthly worship fellowship to be participated by the new believers from the different villages..the distant won't be the issue for not participating. We will be using our motorcycle as our transport vehicle to take them to our Church Fellowship. Everyone is encouraged to bring some dish to share, no matter how simple it would be. This fellowship prayerfully will make the connection between the more mature believers and new believers..as well as becoming the salt of the earth to unbelievers.

We are so excited as we look forward to see God's children coming together in one place and in one accord to CELEBRATE AND WORSHIP JESUS!

You are always prayed for as God's provision flows through YOU, partners. Have a blessed and joyful holiday!!!
