Over 150 young students came together for a three-day Christian youth camp at the EDEN Center. In addition to lowland Thais, the young people who came together for the event included youth from the Hmong, Lahu, Akha, Karen, and Lisu tribes. Most of the youth sponsors and teachers were from the Lanna Thai Church in Chiang Mai. The young people were encouraged to take a strong stand for the Lord by choosing to not conform to every trend that comes along in society. Thai youth today find themselves being pulled in every direction imaginable by lifestyle trends that are fueled by a consumer culture. Young people are discovering that here too, it is only Christ who can lead us out of the rat race that threatens to overwhelm the world.
